Honest about accuracy. Pipwing identifies birds from photos with AI. It's very good with clear photos of common birds, but it can make mistakes, so use the look-alike tips to be sure. It teaches birding from a distance: never touch wild birds, nests or eggs, and no playing recordings to call birds in.

Yes, that's what it's built for. The camera opens zoomed in and you fit the bird in a box, so even a small bird on a far branch fills the frame. A photo from your gallery works too.

No. Pipwing identifies birds from photos. For each bird it tells you what it sounds like, written in words you can copy.

Is my location shared?

No. Map pins are optional and stay on your phone and your own iCloud. Your location is never sent to us.

Is Pipwing free?

Pipwing is free to download, with a sample scan and 3 real scans free. After that, Pipwing Premium is $19.99 a year with a 7-day free trial, or $3.99 a month.

Does one subscription cover my whole family?

Yes. Family Sharing is on, so one subscription covers up to six people in your Apple family group.
