Rocks & crystals
Snap a rock, crystal or mineral. Bud tells you what it is, and a 30-second test to be sure.
Sprout Scout

What you get
Leaves, flowers, trees, bark, seeds and houseplants: the name, scientific name, plant family and how sure we are.
A calm safety note on every find, with a line for pets and children. Poison ivy, poison oak and stinging nettle are flagged clearly.
Look-alikes with one clear tip to tell them apart: count the leaflets, check the leaf edge, look at the bark.
How it grows, three “Did you know?” facts, a plant word, a quick quiz and a safe “Try this” activity.
60 plants every family can find, from maples to monstera, plus bonus plants and 24 badges.
From Sleepy Seed to Mighty Oak, with daily streaks and an optional finds map that never leaves your devices.
Every find helps Sprig grow, from Sleepy Seed to Mighty Oak.

Honest about accuracy. Identifications are AI estimates from a photo and can be wrong. Sprout Scout never tells you a wild plant, berry or mushroom is safe to eat: the answer is always don't. If a child or pet eats a plant, call Poison Control or your vet.

Questions
No, never. Even a correct name from a photo isn't enough to eat a wild plant, berry or mushroom safely, so Sprout Scout always says don't. It does tell you whether a plant is safe to touch.
Yes. Houseplants have their own Leafdex section, and every find has a pets-and-children line that names cats and dogs separately. If a pet eats a plant, call your vet.
Yes. Point it at a leaf, flower, bark, seed or the whole tree. A clear photo of a leaf usually gives the surest answer, and the “look closer” tip tells you what to check next.
